Meet Michele

To say that I am passionate about design would be an understatement. I just don't LOVE IT...I eat, sleep and drink it in everyday and with a great sense of creative pleasure. My love of all things design started at the age of twelve when my dear Mom allowed me to help her redecorate the powder room in our family home. This tiny, boring space magically transitioned into a unique and luxurious jewel box. After seeing the magnificent transformation, I believe my fate as an interior designer was sealed!

Having the good fortune to grow up in a loving, nurturing home that was beautifully decorated with the latest issue of Architectural Digest magazine displayed prominently on the coffee table fed my creative nature growing up. It opened my world up to all the amazing possibilities that one's home could aspire too. Artistically inclined with a love for various art forms, it's not surprising that I chose a career in residential interior design. To this day, the word "Home" stirs up heart felt emotions in me that are so special and continues to feed my inner being as I strive to assist others create their special sanctuary called HOME.

Miccaro Designs is the natural evolution of my love of the fine arts and the interior design training that I received through the B.C. Institute of Technology in Vancouver. With a strong educational background in various art mediums, many years of successful custom design with a local fabric house and a passion for all things interior design and decorating. I'm grateful to be able to invest my creativity and the enjoyment of working closely with people to successfully blend the two harmoniously. My clients know me for my passion for my craft and for my fun-loving approach to the design process making for a positive design experience.

I was born and raised in Vancouver and have lived on the beautiful North Shore for the past 42 years. I am proud to say that I am happily married to my childhood sweetheart, have one daughter that inspires and delights me everyday and have a couple of extended family members with fur and feathers. When not transforming clients personal spaces, you can find me playing around with my camera, drawing, creating beaded jewellery, dreaming about the next exotic travel destination or excitedly working on the next creative project in line.
